Like every morning, we started with a delicious breakfast in our hotel.
Today we started our last trip at 8:00 in the morning in the lobby. We went off by bus for our last company visit to Faurecia in Shanghai. Faurecia is a company specialized in the production of different car parts. The department in Shanghai is specialized in producing the frames of the car seating.
We started with a presentation given by the Unicorn Qi, she is the product control & logistics manager at Faurecia. She gave a short introduction about Faurecia and the department in Shanghai. When the presentation was finished, we were divided into two groups for a production floor tour. Before we entered the production floor, we got some safety instructions and safety vests.
During the tour, we saw the production of various parts, the assembly of these parts and the warehouse. The tour was very interesting, also because ms. Qi told a lot and gave interesting answers to our questions.
After the production floor tour, we had a Q&A with Zheng Wu. Mr. Wu is an innovation manager from Faurecia’s Research and Development center. Mr. Wu gave some interesting answers to our research questions. After the Q&A, we made some pictures in Faurecia’s lobby. At noon we had a delicious typical Chinese lunch in the canteen of Faurecia.
After our visit to Faurecia, we continued our journey to the Humble Administrator´s Garden in the neighborhood of Suzhou. The Humble Administrator´s Garden was built in the early years of Zhengde in the Ming Dynasty. It is one of the representative works of classical gardens at the south of the Yangtze River. After two busy weeks, this was the perfect place to find our inner rests. After an hour of relaxing, our energy was fully reloaded and so we went back to the bus. The bus brought us to an old small water town in Suzhou. Some people call the ambiance of this water town a Chinese version of Venice. One thing for sure was that we saw some impressive things happening in this water town, that the most off us will remember. After a long day, we had dinner in Suzhou and went back to the hotel. We arrived around 9 o’clock in our hotel where we had to prepare ourselves for a night out to one of the best clubs in Shanghai, called TAXX.
